The 2020 YGCC Case Competition

The Yale Graduate Student Consulting Club (YGCC) is delighted to announce our 9th annual case competition, which will be held on Friday, March 20th, 2020 (last Friday of Spring Break) at Yale University. This year’s competition will feature teams from top schools in the Northeast, who will have the opportunity to develop and present solutions to an exciting real-world problem, compete for prize money and recognition, and network with professional consultants from our sponsoring firms.

Prize Information

First Place Team: $2,500

Second Place Team: $1,250

Third Place Team: $750

* Please note: there will be a $25 registration fee per person if your team is selected.

The YGCC encourages all non-MBA graduate students, undergraduates, and postdocs to apply. There is a maximum of one undergraduate per team. 

 
Eligibility
  • All non-MBA Graduate & Professional Students (Ph.D., MD, JD, or Non-MBA Masters), Undergraduate Students, or Postdoctoral Fellows. *Max one undergraduate per team*

  • Students from other universities are welcome to apply. Previous participants include Yale, Columbia, Cornell, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, MIT, NYU, Penn, Princeton, Tufts, Dartmouth, Carnegie Mellon, University of Virginia, Duke, UChicago, Northwestern, UCLA, and Stanford.

  • Interest in management consulting. No business background necessary.
     

How to Apply:
  • Apply as a team of 4-5 members via this link.

  • 1-page resume/person + 1 cover letter/team

  • Application closes Saturday, Feb 29th, 2020 at 11:59 pm (EST).

  • An entrance fee ($25 per person) will be required upon acceptance into the case competition and will allow your team to receive the case prompt.
