President
Madison Fox
Madison is a second-year Ph.D. student in the Departments of Immunobiology and Genetics, conducting translational research in Sidi Chen's lab. Her work centers on immune regulation in inflammation and disease, with the goal of translating mechanistic insights into novel therapeutic strategies. Prior to Yale, she held an appointment at the Vaccine Research Center at NIAID, NIH, where she led projects advancing HIV-1 and SARS-CoV-2 vaccines and immunotherapies. Beyond research, Madison is a former U.S. National Figure Skater and enjoys cooking, landscape and architectural photography, and engaging with current affairs.
Senior Advisor
Jamison Leid, PhD
Jamison is a 2nd-year postdoc in the Departments of Genetics/Comparative Medicine, studying mechanisms of alveolar damage and repair. He received his Ph.D. in Developmental Biology from Washington University in 2023 and worked at multiple startups prior to pursuing a postdoc at Yale. He is interested in learning how to translate exciting research discoveries into meaningful therapies to help disaffected populations. When he's not doing research or engaging in consulting projects, Jamison enjoys DJing, traveling, and finding new "hole in the wall" restaurants to enjoy a good meal.

Andrew Hudak
Andrew is a fifth-year PhD candidate in the Department of Immunobiology, studying the mechanisms underlying autoimmune disease, primarily lupus. Prior to Yale, he conducted research at the Broad Institute on SARS-CoV-2-neutralizing antibodies and the role of plasma cells in ulcerative colitis. In addition to research, Andrew enjoys golf, skiing, running, reading, and spending time with his cat, Ronin.

Laura Li
Laura is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Genetics. Her research investigates glycoRNAs in the immune system, aiming to uncover new insights into cellular communication. Outside the lab, she enjoys photography, traveling, playing board games, and watching shows at Broadway and Yale Repertory Theatre.

Christopher Dunlock
Chris is a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program, studying how visual cues influence decision-making through behavioral experiments and fMRI. As Director of Professional Experiences for the Yale Biotech Club, he leads externship programs and expands his expertise through the Medical Research Scholars Program. Outside academia, Chris trains and competes in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Ellie Gang
Ellie is a first-year MPH student at the Yale School of Public Health. She’s passionate about turning research into real-world solutions by bridging academia with private investing. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, and figure skating.

Julie Lampert
Julie is a third-year PhD student in the Department of Chemistry. Her research employs computational methods to study how biological and synthetic catalysts drive oxygen evolution, with the goal of identifying chemical design principles that can inform the development of clean-energy technologies. In her free time, she enjoys painting, traveling, going to the gym, and spending time with friends.

Chris Ng
Chris is a PhD candidate in the Department of Pharmacology at Yale. His research explores how pleckstrin homology domains recognize phosphorylated protein sequences to better understand cellular signaling. He has led pro bono consulting teams and competed as a case competition finalist, with project experience in healthcare, medical technology, and enterprise software. In his free time, Chris enjoys skiing, cycling, and cooking meals for his Shiba Inu.

Jamie Masthay
Jamie is a fourth-year PhD candidate in the Department of Psychology. Her research focuses on the effect of different drugs on social behavior and underlying neural processes, with the aim of improving clinical treatments for psychiatric disorders. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending time with friends.

Yanzhi Feng
Yanzhi is a fifth-year PhD student in immunobiology with a passion for translational research. His current study aims to address critical clinical unmet needs by engineering immune cells and antibodies for the treatment of cancer. Outside of research, he enjoys bouldering and hiking in the New England woods.

Mengni He
Mengni is a fifth-year PhD candidate in the Department of Pathology, with a background in translational cancer research focusing on biomarker discovery and clinical assay development. She is interested in consulting as a way to apply structured problem-solving and strategic thinking to complex healthcare challenges, with the goal of helping organizations make better decisions that improve patient outcomes. Outside the lab, she enjoys horseback riding and hiking, but is equally content spending a day indoors playing video games and watching K-dramas.

Sam Magpantay
Sam is a 4th-year Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Chemistry. Her research explores proton-coupled electron transfer processes in nickel oxide electrodes and related materials. Sam is passionate about scientific innovation and has worked with several start-ups through Tsai CITY, Yale Ventures, and YGCC pro bono projects. Outside of research, she enjoys watching history documentaries and is an avid NBA fan.

Ming Ma
Ming is a sixth-year graduate student in the Department of Psychology. She studies how people form and update impressions. Outside of the lab, Ming enjoys taking nature walks and trying out new restaurants.

Ali Albowaidey
Ali is a first-year master's student at the Yale School of Public Health. He previously worked in immunology research at the Ragon Institute, supporting vaccine development efforts for HIV, malaria, and influenza. His interests lie at the intersection of healthcare delivery, strategy, and innovation. Outside of school, Ali enjoys traveling and spending time with friends.

Majo Orozco Fuentes
Majo is a third-year PhD student in the Department of Genetics. Her research focuses on the neurodevelopmental mechanisms of genes associated with dyslexia using brain organoids. Outside of the lab, she enjoys reading, doing yoga, and listening to music.

Kevin Jin
Kevin is a third-year PhD candidate in Computational Biology and Biomedical Informatics. He specializes in natural language processing and is building an evidence-grounded, large language model-based treatment recommendation tool for clinical psychiatrists. He adds flavor to his life by studying languages, baking desserts, and sparring at the Yale Kendo Club.
